These face masks are my own design and consist of two layers: a cotton outer (available in a wide range of patterns) with a soft polar fleece inner to make them comfortable on the face and aid in filtration. These are classified as non-medical-grade which means they help prevent the wearer from spreading diseases to others and could help protect the wearer from becoming infected.
I have designed these masks to be a one size fits all. When you receive your mask, it will have loose elastic ends held together with safety pins. Put the mask on your face and knot the elastic behind your ears where it is comfortable for you. Trim the ends of the elastic (if required) and slide the knot into the side of the mask to hide it. I have created the side gutters of the mask to be wide enough to hide the knot so it does not press behind your ears and create discomfort.
Instead of sewing pleats into these masks, they will 'self pleat' to fit the sides of your face more naturally. You can adjust the sides once the mask is in place to get the fit just right for you.
Please note in the company section during checkout if any masks in your order are for a child and I can adjust the design to suit.
Fabric face masks can be washed and reused. They are machine washable but a cold cycle is recommended to preserve the colours - laundry sanitiser can be used for deep cleaning. Air dry the face mask completely before you use it again. Do not use a damp face mask.
Shipping costs are included in the price for these but if you are purchasing more than one mask in your order please use the discount codes below during checkout to combine shipping. International shipping rates apply for any orders outside of NZ, please select the applicable option during checkout.

Please note that non-medical-grade face coverings do not need to conform to any set standard, however they are not recommended for use in medical settings.
Face masks are recommended as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from travelling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the mask coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. This recommendation is based on what we know about the role respiratory droplets play in the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. COVID-19 spreads mainly among people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet/2 metres), so the use of masks is particularly important in settings where people are close to each other or where social distancing is difficult to maintain.
